Makeup Artist Pandhari Juker No More, Amitabh Bachchan, Madhuri Dixit And Others Pay Their Condolences

Veteran makeup artist Pandhari Juker left for heavenly abode on Monday at the age of 88. The late makeup artist had worked with stars like Madhubala, Meena Kumari, Amitabh Bachchan and many more. Taking to their social networking account Big B, Madhuri Dixit and others paid their condolence and prayed for his soul to rest in peace

Makeup artist Pandhari Juker breathed his last on Monday in Mumbai at the age of 88. The news of his sudden demise left many stars from Bollywood shocked. The late makeup artist was associated with films starring some of the eminent celebs from the industry such as Nargis, Madhubala, Meena Kumari, Amitabh Bachchan, Juhi Chawla, Madhuri Dixit and many more.  With this news hitting the internet few of these stars took to their social networking account and paid their condolence, praying for his soul to rest in peace. 

The list includes actors such as Amitabh Bachchan, Madhuri Dixit, Manisha Koirala, Sonali Kulkarni, Abhishek Bachchan. Few also shared a collage of images where Pandhari Juker was clicked working with these stars. Along with these actors, he also happened to work with some of the ace filmmakers of that era such as  Raj Kapoor, B.R. Chopra, Yash Chopra, Kamal Amrohi, Tarun Majumdar and Subhash Ghai. Amitabh Bachchan paying his condolence to the late makeup artist posted a picture along with him on his Twitter handle. 

Big B tweeted, “Pandhari Juker .. no more .. the Master, the Icon, the Ultimate make up artist .. passes away .. In conversation with Indian Express, Pandhari Juker has shared how accidentally he landed in this profession. Compelled to join the profession after his father was taken ill, he was trained under makeup artists Dada Paranjpe and Baba Vardhan. 

He quoted saying by the publication, “My getting into the film line was an accident. It was my father’s illness that pushed me to take up work as a make-up assistant at Rajkamal Studios. I had no idea what I was getting into, but I was a commercial artist, so I knew how to use colours. I learnt under the guidance of make-up gurus like Baba Vardhan and Dada Paranjpe.”
